Training players in NGCC

培訓隊開訓Behind every successful golfer there is a golf course that supports his or her growth and NGCC is no different as world-class players including CT Pan have benefited from training at NGCC.

NGCC provides first-class venues, facilities, and accommodations, so that players can practice golf without any worries. NGCC also hires coaches for the training team while physical coaches will also be hired to help players starting from November.

In March 2020, the National Golf Academy invited Tseng Hsiu-Feng to serve as the head coach.

After taking over the position of National Golf Academy head coach, she has been working hard in enhancing the players' strength. She also arranges sports psychology-related courses for the players.

Tseng Hsiu-Feng, the head coach of the National Golf Academy, said: “I observed that players from the training team played well in the first few days, but they were physically exhausted in the next few days. I think they should strengthen their physical training. Therefore, I suggested hiring professional fitness coach Liu Haolin to conduct fitness training for the players."

Roy Wu, general manager of the NGCC, said: "I agree with the advice of head coach Tseng Hsiu-Feng. Therefore, starting from November 2020, we have introduced national-level physical coach Liu Haolin. Every Sunday morning, there will be fitness training for the training team. Through this training, I hope they can use the coach’s guidance and continue to train independently after class to strengthen their physical fitness and muscle strength and learn how to protect themselves from sports injuries.”

The physical training by Liu Haolin includes professional physical training, muscle strengthening and core training as well as post-exercise stretching.

Liu Haolin, the physical fitness coach of the National Golf Academy, said: "Because I am an athletic trainer before, I have seen a lot of young players on the sports field in the past few years. They often encounter sports injuries while playing golf. So I started to target the part where sports injuries often occur, do some special reinforcement or special relaxation. I will also give them some advice and guidance during the training process, so that they can  increase their physical fitness and prevent sports injuries."

NGCC contributes money, effort, and venues, and plans all-aspect curriculum training for the training teams and hopes to contribute more to Taiwan's golf.
