Tseng Hsiu-Feng leads wins the Yeangder Amateur Classic


全國學院培訓隊The NGCC team won the team championship at the 9th Yeangder Amateur Classic held at NGCC from December 22 to 24.

The Yeangder Amateur Classic has always been an important platform for training teams. Among the participating players, there are many top players from the national team.

To improve the skills and fitness of the NGCC training team, the general manager of NGCC Roy Wu specially hired Tseng Hsiu-Feng, who has won five titles in Japan, as an assistant professor at the university to serve as the head coach of the National Golf Academy. Tseng Hsiu-Feng assists all players in the NGCC golf training team from setting goals, training, introducing psychological courses, sharing experience and physical training.

Tseng Hsiu-Feng said: "Since I took over the National Golf Academy in February this year, I have only one goal, which is to have the NGCC general manager Roy Wu come to the stage to accept the award in the Yeangder Amateur Classic in December, which is the top three in the group or the top three in the individual!"

The NGCC golf training team is already strong. Three members are part of the 2021 national team.

Liao Chonghan shot a 68 to boost his team’s efforts as they posted a combined total of 213 on the first day. On the final day, the team started with eight shots back but they fought back to win the tournament.

Chen Shoucheng, who has joined the NGCC Training Team for ten years, said: "Under the leadership of Teacher Tseng Hsiu-Feng, we are more cohesive. She pays so much attention to the usual practice time and the improvement of problems after the game. I think I am getting better and better this year and have more confidence!"

Roy Wu said: "The morale, fighting spirit, results, and overall performance of our players seem to be quite good. I think this is due to the leadership of Chief Coach Tseng Hsiu-Feng, who guided the players.”

Leading the training team to achieve the goal, Tseng Hsiu-Feng said: "I am very happy that we did it, and it is really great that the NGCC training team is the champion. We will continue to work hard to achieve new goals!"
