NGCC is a good place to visit for good food


十八鄉鎮特色菜The pandemic has affected many people’s plans to travel abroad but the Gourmet Club in NGCC has put in place measures to keep everyone safe and healthy.

More importantly, many dishes and activities have been added to create a tourist destination where guests can enjoy different delicacies without travelling abroad.

In 2020, Gusto Restaurant will launch an exotic feast-"Iberian Food Festival", combining classic Spanish, Italian, Vienna, and Hungarian cuisines.

For the Four Seasons Chinese Restaurant, from October 1 this year to January 31, 2021, launched the "Miaoli Eighteen Township Specialties" series of activities. They will bring the specialty dishes from every part of Miaoli to NGCC.

The "Miaoli Eighteen Township Specialties" food feast event launched by the Four Seasons Hall is headed by chef Cai Wenhong from Hong Kong.

Roy Wu, general manager of the NGCC, said: "This is a very different year. Many people want to go abroad but cannot make it. NGCC heard everyone’s voice and launched the "Miaoli 18 Township Specialties" and "Iberian Peninsula." Hoping these two food events are able to give guests a chance to taste different dishes around the world right here in Taiwan.”

The classic dishes recommended by Gusto Western Restaurant [2020 Iberico Food Festival] are the Florence T-bone steak, Viennese pork chops, Fireworks female pasta, garden vegetable quinoa salad, Genoa green sauce chicken taffeta noodles, Spanish seafood stew, and Italian seafood pizza.

For those who love beef, the Florence T-Bone Steak by Chef Gao Zhikeng of Gusto Restaurant is a must-try and match with a glass of wine.
