NGCC has also joined the Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary Program to pass on the concept of environmental protection and to build a fully eco-friendly golf course that conserves the natural environment.
Environmental Plan
The plan is to establish a golf course that is ecologically beneficial for the environment and to build a natural environment conservation zone, an eco-friendly space, and a complete ecological chain. The plan also includes artificial wetlands, small forests, and ponds, which could function as wildlife habitats, and works on reducing the usage of pesticides and fertilizers because they are detrimental for global warming. The ultimate goal is to establish a golf course that comprehensively conserve the natural environment and protect wildlife.
Wildlife and habitats management
With this wildlife- and human-oriented management, we build a natural environment consists of healthy forests, lawns and wetland ecosystems without interfering with wildlife habitats. The natural environment will provide food and water for wildlife and act a space promoting coexistence.
Water resource protection
We promote water recycling, monitor the use water for irrigation, and save water. Aside from taking care of the lawns and soil in the environment, we also strive for maintaining good water environment.
Pesticide usage safety and reduction
Correct pest management and best management procedure have been implemented comprehensively to reduce pest problems and decrease the use of chemicals in order to sustain a healthy environment for humans and wildlife.
Water quality management
Good water quality control is implemented for ponds, lakes, and wetlands. Benchmark data for water bodies and water sources have been set up, while routine monitoring activities are adopted and the results are used for developing corresponding control measures for effective water quality management.
Dissemination and education
Long-term environmental management and wildlife protection plans are developed, and to create an eco-friendly environment that respects the nature and maintains a good human-wildlife balance, NGCC has been dedicated in promoting and educating customers, encouraging customers to get involved in environmental protection and management activities, and introducing the concept of environmental protection to customers.
